DOHA — Reigning Gulf Cup champions Oman shared the spoils with Qatar in an entertaining friendly international match that ended in a 1-1 draw here on Tuesday night.
After Imaad al Hosni put the visitors ahead, hosts Qatar fought back bravely to settle for a draw at the Shaikh Jassim bin Hamad Stadium.
After a goalless first half, Frenchman Claude le Roy-coached Oman opened the account in the 56th minute when Imaad put the ball into the net off a well-measured chip to centre from right-winger Ismail al Ajmi.
