![]() * Private sector from Sat to Tue * Normal working hours after Eid - MUSCAT — As per the Royal Orders of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos and on the occasion of Eid al Fitr, it was decided that the Eid holidays for employees at the ministries, public authorities and other departments of the state administrative apparatus will be from Saturday (September 11) to Wednesday (September 15). Work will resume on Saturday (September 18), according to a decision issued by Sayyid Ali bin Hamoud al Busaidy, Minister of the Diwan of the Royal Court and Chairman of the Civil Service Council yesterday. Working hours after Eid al Fitr holidays will be normal prior to the beginning of the month of Ramadhan. Sayyid Ali extended his heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty the Sultan on this happy occasion, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty and grant him good health, happiness and a long life, return this occasion on His Majesty for many years to come and the Omani people and the country further progress and prosperity under his wise leadership and welfare for all Muslims. Meanwhile, Shaikh Abdullah bin Nasir al Bakri, Manpower Minister, also issued a ministerial decision stopping work at private sector companies and establishments from Saturday (September 11) till Tuesday (September 14). Work will resume on Wednesday (September 15). The decision allows employers and employees to agree on work during the holidays if necessity arises. All personnel working in the private sector have extended their heartfelt congratulations to His Majesty the Sultan on this happy occasion, praying to Allah the Almighty to protect His Majesty the Sultan. — ONA |
