MUSCAT — The German University of Technology in Oman (GUtech) has opened admission for all study-programmes. Students who apply at GUtech before the end of July will be exempted from the application fee.
At GUtech all BSc programmes are internationally accredited. “Students, who meet GUtech’s admission requirements for direct entry into one of the Bachelor of Science programmes, have the possibility to apply for financial aid,” said Professor Dr Burkhard Rauhut, Rector at GUtech.
“Financial aid will be offered to students who will pass scholarship examinations. The dates and content of these examinations will be communicated to students who will get admission to GUtech,” he said.
GUtech offers a pre-university programme, four bachelor of science programmes in applied geosciences, applied information technology, urban planning and architectural design, sustainable tourism and regional development.
The language of instruction at GUtech is English, German is taught as an additional language. This year the university will introduce new programmes.
“We are proud to extend our study programmes and introduce two new bachelor of engineering and two master programmes,” said Professor Rauhut. Like all GUtech study-programmes, the new programmes are tailor-made for the Gulf region and were designed by German professors from GUtech’s parent-university RWTH Aachen University in Germany.
